The short version: Two Plates has no accounts, no servers of its own, no analytics, and no ads. Your training data lives on your device and, if you leave iCloud sync on, in your personal iCloud. We cannot see any of it.
What the app stores
Your programs, workouts, sets, weights, effort scores, notes, bodyweight entries, body measurements, progress photos, and settings. All of it sits in a database on your device. None of it is sent to us. We have no servers to send it to. Progress photos stay on your phone and, if you leave iCloud sync on, in your own iCloud. We cannot see them.
iCloud sync
Sync uses the private part of iCloud that belongs to your Apple Account. Apple stores that data under Apple's iCloud terms, and we cannot read it. Sync is on by default and you can turn it off in Settings inside the app. To remove synced data from iCloud, delete the app's data in your device's iCloud storage settings, or email us and we will walk you through it.
Apple Health
Health features are optional, and each one asks for permission before it does anything.
- During a watch workout, the app reads your heart rate and active energy so you can see them live and in the wrap-up.
- When you finish a workout, the app can save it to Apple Health, with an effort score if you gave one.
- If you track bodyweight, the app reads and writes your weight in Apple Health.
- If you log a waist measurement, the app can write it to Apple Health. It never reads measurements from Health.
Health data stays in Apple Health on your device. The app never sends it anywhere, and we never use it for marketing or anything else. You can revoke access at any time in your iPhone's Settings under Privacy & Security, then Health.
Purchases
Two Plates Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store. Apple processes the payment. We never see your name or your payment details. Apple sends us sales reports with no identities in them.
Import, export, and sharing
Importing a CSV from Strong or Hevy reads a file you picked and keeps it on your device. Exporting writes a file you own. Sharing a workout day sends a file directly to the person you choose, over AirDrop, Messages, or whatever you pick. None of it passes through any server of ours.
Bring your own AI
The paste-a-program and check-in features work by copying text for you to paste into an AI chat you already use, or by opening that app for you. Two Plates sends nothing itself. What you paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or any other service is between you and that service, under their privacy policy.
Notifications
Rest timers and reminders are scheduled on your device. They are local notifications, not messages from a server.
If you email us
If you write to hello@twoplates.fit, we receive your email address and whatever you send. We use it to reply, we do not share it, and we keep it only as long as it takes to help you.
This website
These pages are static. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking. Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps short-lived standard server logs, such as the IP address of each request, to serve and protect it.
Children
Two Plates is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Your rights and your data
Whatever privacy law applies where you live, the practical answer here is the same: your training data is in your hands, not ours. To delete it, delete the app and its iCloud data. To stop sync, turn it off in the app's Settings. For anything else, email us.
Changes
If a future feature ever changes the story above, this page will say so plainly, and the date at the top will change with it.
Who we are
